hey all. its been a long time, busy in army.

anyway, i'm thinking of giving tuition to primary school (P3-6) and lower secondary (S1-2) students.
subjects would be english language, and maybe chinese language too.
lessons could be in small groups of 2-4, or one-to-one.
once a week on weekends, duration 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
still not sure what fees to ask for, but wouldn't be too expensive. perhaps around 80 a month for the group classes? and 100 a month for the one-to-one?

so far ns is quite slack, went in for 7 days only did pushups for the first time on the 6th day. and only the 7th day was something like how i thought ns would be, with a fair amount of pt. the rest of the time.. sit until backside pain in lectures. thought go ns would be alot of muscles pain but not backside. cos of sitting down too much.
but it should pick up soon anyway.~

well overall they were ok i suppose, but have question marks hanging over lit and econs, and am also unsure of whether i will pass lit s. yup.

been playing lots. class chalet : though turnout was disappointing, still enjoyed myself quite a bit.. island life... ahaha... [yes caixia i know i never laugh like that in real life]

other than that .. playing bball, running and lifting a bit to try to get ready for ns... yup.

another cd which grows on you. its guitar with some tracks having a slight dash of vocals. if you found latino passion too heavy to listen to early in the morning or for long periods of time and wanted some cleaner and lighter but just as lively guitar sounds, this album is good.

at first when i listened to it i thought it wasn't that good.. but the more i listen to it the more it grows on me
wonderful music
there are only seven tracks, and standout tracks include New York City (01), ...
on second thoughts all of them are standout tracks. yup. its that good.

it may be a tad expensive though, paying $18.90 at sembawang music (usually the cheapest) for a cd with only 7 songs/30:04 of music, but i think its quite worth it.~

Ong Bak : Muay Thai Warrior is a masterpiece. the plot isn't much but the action is amazing. and the thing is Tony Ja did every single stunt himself, without wires, without stunt doubles. incredible. don't just read it here, go watch it and be amazed.

Matrix : Revolutions the action's not bad, especially the scene where the humans of zion and the machines have their battle for the city of zion itself. great effects. like mechwarrior x 3000 times. but the story's just an attempt to tie up all the loose ends. and if the endings not blatant christian symbolism, i don't know what it is - give neo a shining light cross in the centre of his chest? put him on an altar?

its really no use talking to her. like talking to a wall.

Comforts of Fear

You are the murky film that coats my independence.
Baptized in dread. Left matte and damp.
Muscles of freedom stay weak from neglect.
My deep inhale of contentment is halted by apprehension.

I pick the skin around my fingernails until they are raw.
The smoke of my cigarette stings as it infiltrates the open wounds.
My jaw aches from constant clenching, in turn dwindling the stature of my teeth.
You distract me from my life. Fleecing my destiny, one layer at a time.

You run so deep in my veins, slowing the flow, consuming serenity.
Yet I fear a cleansing transfusion.
Comfortable, abundant fear. Oh, familiar anxiety.

ANGEL

Another sun sets on the sea of love
and a soft silence seals the air,
Something drifts down from the sky above

went to the wake yesterday.. didnt really feel much at first but when i looked at her face in the coffin then suddenly felt sad. real sad. and just started praying to every god or deity i know for her.

glad that i was able to comfort you.. *hug*

after that went for mel's bday dinner at mariott but didnt really have the bday mood.. anyway the food was seafodd bbq buffet at the poolside not bad lar but the portions were so small so we had to keep on ordering and after some time the food gets boring... and also the quality was inconsistent sometimes very nice sometimes just ok. think the chef was getting tired of cooking so much for us. dont think chefs enjoy cooking this sort of buffet stuff.
then most of us went to the alley bar didnt drink thou..
had a pool session with gerald (he left early) n jlow after that.. came home close to 2. finished watching 20-something taipei. its not tt good i think not really enjoyable to watch. about 1/5 through city of god now.

works on schedule but revision is behind by some amount.

juz finished watching the remaining 5 shorts of the animatrix...
incredible animation.. and when you think about some of the stories they can be frightening... really frightening.
makes you think what if...? sometimes
great show. think it could be even better than the matrix:reloaded.

played pool with jlow tdy.. not as rusty as i thought id be... but was so tired we played 16 games in abt 2 hours... score was 9-7... jlow 9 me 7
breadtalk's hokaiido dome is nice.. light with just a hint of sweetness
n the texture is good too inside fluffy yet firm and outside juz slightly crispy
oh and tornado, the black one with white cream whirl has hot chicken inside didnt know that..
didnt play bball after all tdy.. was too tired after pool session so came home and slept from like 5 to 7.. then went out for dinner.

watched the first 4 shorts of animatrix.. final flight of the osiris, 2nd renassiance parts 1 and ii, and program. stunning graphics, some slightly disturbing thou. expands on the story behind the matrix. shouldve watched it in the cinema..
